My first Scout tee was a bit of a disaster. I managed to mess up the printing of the pattern, and ended up with a very odd oversized version. Also looking back – I have no idea what I was thinking with that fabric. This time, I went oversized on purpose..
I sing in the kick-ass women’s only pop choir Lips. This summer we have two pretty monumental gigs coming up, Camp Bestival and Bestival – two pretty big festivals in the UK. Sadly I will miss be bigger of the two, Bestival, as I will be living in Denmark then (major sad face). But two weeks from now we’ll be rocking it out at Camp Bestival. Can’t. Bloody. Wait.
So.. the outfit.
I admit it. I was having a good run. Pretty much most of what I’ve made this year has ended up being wardrobe favourites. At this point I was destined to make something I didn’t like.
Making clothes has completely changed not only the clothes I choose to wear, but also how I look at my body.
As someone who has always had quite set ideas of what I can/can’t/should/shouln’t wear, sewing has been really liberating.
